NotePatch Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the NotePatch iOS application (“the app”) developed by foxineo (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using NotePatch, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the App
NotePatch is a utility app that lets you digitize handwritten notes, process them, and print physical patches. You may use the app for personal, educational, or professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.
2. Free Features and Pro Subscription
Free Features
Core features — scanning, cropping, masking, printing, calibration, and on-device OCR — are available for free with no account required.
NotePatch Pro Subscription
NotePatch Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional features, including AI-powered text recognition.
- Monthly: $3.99/month (USD)
- Annual: $24.99/year (USD)
- Prices may vary by region. The actual price is displayed in the App Store before purchase.
- A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers.
Billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refund requests should be directed to Apple.
3. AI Text Recognition
The AI recognition feature (Pro only) sends images to a third-party cloud API for text extraction. By using this feature:
- You acknowledge that the selected image will be transmitted over the internet for processing.
- Images are processed solely for text extraction and are not stored, logged, or used for model training.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated text extraction results.
- You are responsible for verifying any extracted text before use.
On-device OCR (free) processes images entirely on your device and does not transmit any data.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the images, notes, and content you create or process using NotePatch. We do not claim any ownership of your content.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to process content that infringes on others’ intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the app.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Print output quality depends on your printer hardware and settings. We do not guarantee specific print results.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
